Compared to the 2024 Toyota Tundra, the new 2025 Toyota Tundra adds several new features, including a TRD Rally Package, a Tow Tech Package with a wireless trailer camera system, and more standard features on all trims.
Not everything has changed for the 2025 Toyota Tundra compared to the 2024 model. Looking at the base trim, both models come with a twin-turbo V6 engine and get roughly the same gas mileage. The exterior dimensions haven't changed, and both base models can tow up to 8,300 pounds when properly equipped. The main differences between the 2025 Toyota Tundra vs. the 2024 Tundra include some new packages and additional features on some of the higher trims.
Model Lineup Changes and Features
Most of the Toyota Tundra model lineup is the same between 2025 and 2024. The trim lineup still consists of the SR base trim, the SR5, Limited, Platinum, and 1794 Edition models. However, some of the features and options for the trims have changed. For example, the Tundra SR5 model now includes front and rear parking sensors as standard equipment. A panoramic roof is newly available, starting with the Limited trim level.
Another new update on the 2025 Tundra that the 2024 Tundra doesn't have, is a wireless trailer camera system. The WCS takes the stress out of towing by using a wireless camera attached to the rear of your trailer. One big model change from 2024 is that the TRD Sport package is no longer offered in 2025. This is a RWD version of the TRD Off-Road package for those who want something sportier on the street. The Solar Octane exterior paint has also been discontinued for 2025.
TRD Rally Package Highlights and a New Color
Probably the biggest news for the new 2025 Toyota Tundra is the TRD Rally Package. This is all-new for the 2025 model year. The package is part appearance package and part off-road upgrades. Some of the appearance highlights include the Baja racing accents of red, orange, and yellow, SoftTex seats, and four exterior colors. Practical off-road upgrades for this package include 18-inch TRD off-road wheels, Crawl Control, all-terrain tires, Multi-Terrain Select, and an electronically locking rear differential.
Although the Solar Octane color from 2024 has been discontinued, a new Mudbath color is now available for 2025 on the TRD Pro Grade. The SR5 now includes eight-way power-adjustable front seats as standard equipment, and the power tailgate is an available option for this trim. It's also standard on every trim above the SR5. The Platinum and Capstone models have massaging front seats, and the 1794 Edition now features a unique tailgate with an embossed appearance.
